modest and comfortable dresses

Welcome, weary traveler. By now, you have most likely been searching high and low, over and underneath for what feels like forever. But at long last you have finally stumbled upon this article 🙂 It can be such a battle and vigorous hunt in our culture to find both modest and comfortable dresses. Some are modest…yet not so comfortable. And many are comfortable…but not so modest! You have, I hope, come to the end of your search now, my friend. I have a dress for you that I hope will be the solution to all of your distress!! This gem is known most commonly as the maxi dress. The maxi dress is long, comfortable, fashionable, even trending, and wearable to numerous occasions and events. Best of all, you don’t have to spend a $100 to get your hands on one.

What is a maxi dress?

Oh, only the best of every world when it comes to fashion, comfort, expense and modesty. And what other categories are there quite as pressing on your mind and impacting your decision-making when dress shopping? (Leave a comment below to let me know if I’ve forgotten an important point of consideration!)

Maxis are long, comfortable and fashionable, modern-style dresses that come in all shapes, sizes, styles, colors and materials, to accommodate personal taste. They aren’t expensive (depending on where you buy them from), and they can pass as both formal or casual, depending on how you wear them. Check out my post on how to style a maxi dress different ways in order to achieve the look your going for:

Why they so comfy?!?

95% Rayon (or Polyester) and 5% spandex…is a beautiful thing to my body. Obviously the comfort of the dress you buy depends on the material that it’s made of, and I highly recommend this combination of materials if you’re eager for a soft, breathable and comfy fabric. The percentages may vary a little, but if they are close to this, than the dress should be a very comfortable wear.

From my research and some personal experience, I found that rayon materials tend to wear out and wrinkle more quickly than polyester. So if you have a choice, I would recommend the polyester/spandex combination over the rayon/spandex one; however, if you happen to see a maxi dress made from rayon/spandex on a super clearance deal, absolutely snatch it up!! The comfort of it will be worth the few wears you do get out of it.

Where to get a maxi dress

Maxi dresses can be found and bought in countless retail stores almost anywhere. They are a very popular outfit choice, especially during the summer months. It will be harder to find maxi dresses for sale in stores after the fall and winter seasons have begun, but never fear, buying online is an easily accessible and more efficient, cost-effective way of finding and purchasing a maxi dress that you really love anyway.

Shopping online may be better than buying in-store, even when the maxi dress season is in full swing, because you can quickly and easily browse a large online selection of dresses. This way you’re more likely to find a dress that you actually LOVE, not just a dress that you liked most out of the limited options.

How to find good deals through Amazon

Amazon has an amazingly large and diverse selection of maxi dresses to shop from. You can easily find maxi dresses that are suitable for summer, winter, fall or spring, weddings, barbecues, work or grocery shopping! Also you’ll find that maxi dresses come in a variety of styles, so don’t write them off as “not your style” unless you’ve given them a fair chance and done a good bit of searching.

You can easily find dozens upon dozens of beautiful, fashionable, modest and comfortable maxi dresses on Amazon for under 30 dollars.

This is one of my favorite styles yet that I’ve found on Amazon, and I’m considering purchasing it for a Christmas banquet that I’m planning to attend this year. It’s made from polyester and spandex, the same materials of another dress that I just recently purchased from Amazon and plan to wear to a wedding.

This dress has shorter sleeves, and the solid color makes it more versatile for different occasions and seasons. If neither of these catches your eye, you can still use the link and browse around Amazon for some other dresses that fit your own style.

Worlds collide

I know how hard it can be to find dresses that are modest, while still comfortable, attractive and not outrageously over-priced. Drop a comment below if you’d like some more content on modest dresses, as there is a lot more I could say on this topic.

I hope this was helpful, and let me know if you find your dream maxi dress, because I’d love to know!!
